This is more likely a synchronization bug. Will check though.

And this is even more suspicious. Will check whether it's possible to
reproduce that from this description and get back to you if i need more
information from you.

BIRD 3 should be _faster_ doing this, not slower. If you need to update
these values, it's definitely _our_ bug.
