Bird2 for Debian Jessie?

What do you mean with "debian unstable or testing"?

It seems weird to have it only in unstable/testing tough, as coming from 
Ubuntu and it's there already without needing to do really anything to 
repos.

Example from Ubuntu Focal:
bird2:
   Installed: 2.0.7-2
   Candidate: 2.0.7-2
   Version table:
  *** 2.0.7-2 500
         500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/universe amd64 
Packages
         100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
