# birdc -r

Unable to connect to server control socket (/run/bird/bird.ctl): No such file or directory

#cd /run/bird/

# ls

bird6.ctl

what is strange even bird.ctl is dropped as you can it is not appearing under /run/bird

What errors do you get?

Here's what my output looks like:
