Contributing patches

Hi,
We've started evaluating BIRD at work and I believe I might have a few patches that I'd like to contribute back (if you guys are interested). I'm new to the project and I'm wondering what's the proper procedure for this (tracking bugs, submitting patches, etc). I understand this is a users' mailing list and maybe there's a better place for that.
