Don't worry. I made some basic tests and the BSD port seems to be 
working. The only problem are tcp-md5 bgp connections. Bird sets 
socket options but is is unable to store a password. This has to be 
done by an external utility (setkey in case of FreeBSD). Bud with that 
even tcp-md5 works.
